Mission Statement

The Wilson Elementary School community shares a common mission with the greater San Gabriel Unified School District as a whole. We have reached a common consensus that all students at all grade levels will have equal access to the core curriculum. Like a family, we judge ourselves no just by the achievements of the brightest student, but by our success with the most needy.

 

Vision Statement

We believe that all students, with their individual differences, can achieve mastery of the California State Standards when given the opportunity to engage in a rigorous curriculum. We embrace a positive, safe learning environment that supports academic risk-taking and structures cooperative learning experiences while celebrating cultural diversity.

San Gabriel Unified School District presents the Portrait of a Graduate, a visionary expression of the qualities and skills the District seeks to develop in all students who earn a diploma from SGUSD.

 

The Portrait of a Graduate contains eight areas important to ensuring that students complete their school experience ready for college and career and prepared to contribute and thrive in the world around them. They are Creative Thinker, Collaborator, Global Citizen, Empathetic, Communicator, and Resilient.
