Hello Families,

This month, we will be talking about Self/Me -- Please talk to your children about what makes them unique and special!  We will be studying the letters H,T,I, U and the mathematical concepts of the color orange, the triangle shape and the ideas of one vs. many.  Use this as an opportunity to notice the changing fall colors all around. A nature walk can bring all of the concepts listed above to life!

Thank you to everyone that visited and contributed to our donors choose project!  We already have the items and are having fun playing with them everyday.

Please stay tuned for the time of your conference!!  We can't wait to see you!!

Please make sure you take a look at this month's curriculum focus.  While we work hard each day to provide your child with rich learning experiences, we encourage you to find opportunities to build upon those experiences at home.  As always, if you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please message your child's teacher!

November 2019

11/11 - Veteran's Day

11/25- 11/29 Thanksgiving Break

Happy Fall!

This month we will be talking about our families and Thanksgiving.  You can take this time to talk about your families and your traditions.  What do you do on our Thanksgiving breaks?  Do you have an extended family come to you or do you go somewhere?  What kinds of food do you eat?  Are there a lot of people that come together or just a few....?  These are the things that make us special and unique!

The letters we will be working on are C, O, and G.  The color is brown and the shape is a square.  We will also explore the concepts of empty and full.  We think it will be fun to explain after a big meal!

Thank you for your continued support of our classrooms.  Your support means so much!  It was a pleasure to conference with you in October.  Please watch the calendar for upcoming important dates.

As Always:  Please make sure you take a look at this month's curriculum focus.  While we work hard each day to provide your child with rich learning experiences, we encourage you to find opportunities to build upon those experiences at home.  As always, if you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please message your child's teacher!

This month we will be exploring holidays and traditions.  Talk to your child about the things that you do together as a family.  Discuss the things that they see in the community and around them.  How is the weather different?  What do we wear to address the weather changes?  Are there any new friends or family that will visit this month?

As a class we will be reviewing all of the letters we learned this year.  We will also explore the color green, the star shape and the concept of hot and cold.  The new year is almost here... and with it will come more growth and changes.

Welcome Back!  We hope that you all enjoyed your vacation and the end of 2019.  We look forward to the rest of the school year with you and your child. January is a busy month.  We will be working on the letters S, J, and D. In the area of math we will be learning about the concepts of big/little, rectangles, and the color blue.  We will also be exploring our 5 senses.  As you go through your day with your child what do you see, hear, smell, feel and taste?  How do those senses make you feel?  A child may understand the world differently from their perspective... explore it from their angle and you may have more fun than you thought!

We also wanted to send a big THANK YOU to all of you that were able to donate to our holiday program.  It was appreciated!

Reminder:  Please make sure you take a look at this month's curriculum focus.  While we work hard each day to provide your child with rich learning experiences, we encourage you to find opportunities to build upon those experiences at home.  If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please message your child's teacher!
